Duties and Responsibilities
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Clinical Research Fellow to join the respiratory data science lab at UCL Respiratory. You will work with a passionate team of clinician-researchers supervised by Associate Professor Neal Navani and Dr Tom Callender.
In collaboration with colleagues at UCL Hospitals and Professor van der Schaar at the University of Cambridge, we are developing a privacy-preserving federated platform to facilitate near real-time analysis of cancer datasets; studying the use of synthetic data in lung cancer early detection research; and using state-of-the-art machine learning for prognostic modelling in lung cancer.
In this job, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of our NHS pilots of a privacy-preserving platform for near real-time analysis of cancer data. Your responsibilities will range from research including developing skills in machine learning and data analysis to management tasks. prognostic modelling in lung cancer.
The post is fully funded for 12 months in the first instance via Cancer Research UKs Alliance for Cancer Early Detection.
Key Requirements
This post is open to clinicians with a background in public health, internal medicine or a related specialty. A strong quantitative background with experience in project management are highly desirable. Ideally, the individual will have had research experience.
