Job summary

The GO-DCM project is an ambitious multi-centre study recruiting 1200 patients with dilated cardiomyopathy from hospital sites across England supported by a £2M grant from the British Heart Foundation.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Project Manager to work with the genetics research team. You will support other research projects within the genetics team at the Royal Brompton and Hammersmith campuses.

Duties and responsibilities

You will be responsible for overall management of the Go DCM project across the participating sites and requires an experienced, self-motivated individual with excellent organisational and communication skills to ensure the completion of the project objectives to time and target. You will be responsible for oversight of the project budget, and administrative aspects of study management including coordination of meetings, production of reports, and training and support of project staff.

You will also oversee the delivery of other research projects initiated by the genetics research team.

Essential requirements

    • You will hold a post-graduate qualification in a relevant discipline, with experience of coordinating projects and clinical research governance and trial methodology.

 

    • You will have excellent problem solving and communication skills with the ability to work under pressure to achieve deadlines.

 

  • You will have knowledge of cardiovascular/genetic conditions and will have ideally managed complex research projects within a healthcare setting.

Further information

This is a full-time, fixed term position until 31 December 2022, as a Maternity Cover. You will be based at Royal Brompton Campus, with travel to Hammersmith Campus and other sites as required.
