Job description

Job summary

The post is for a research assistant to coordinate a large-scale, multifaceted study working within a mixed research and clinical team on an upcoming trial looking at the effects of psilocybin in people living with chronic pain.

Duties and responsibilities

The post-holder will have duties across many areas of the study including (but not limited to), coordination and management of a multidisciplinary team, liaising with patients and their care teams, and collecting data across different formats including EEG, questionnaires, and interviews. It is critical that the post-holder can demonstrate organisational skills that will be required for managing largescale data collection in an efficient and reliable manner. It is also desirable that the post-holder has some experience working with regulatory bodies involved in trial management.

Additional responsibilities include attending regular team meetings, organising scheduling for participants in accordance with the protocol, meeting with patient care teams and GPs, timely and accurate data collection, and completing relevant training.

Essential requirements

The post holder must have experience working in research, ideally with experience or training related to psychedelic assessed therapy. Applicants are expected to have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and can collect, organise and record data in a timely and reliable fashion.

This post is part-time, 3 days a week, based at our Hammersmith Campus starting on 1 st March 2022 for 12 months.

As this post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, at the appropriate level, will be required for the successful candidate.
