Due to the continuing expansion in the use of fully-online learning technology at the School, we are seeking a talented and motivated individual to assist us in providing high-quality and professional learning design for our online and blended degree programmes.
Duties and responsibilities
You will be responsible for designing, developing, delivering and evaluating the student learning experience across programmes and online modules at the Business School. You will therefore need to have strong knowledge of both learning design and product development, to ensure we remain at the forefront of technology-enhanced education.
You will largely be working on MBA, MSc and UG programmes, as well as Executive Education and therefore knowledge of, or an interest in, the subjects taught at a Business School would be advantageous. Your role will largely involve working closely with senior faculty to develop highly- complex academic content for their online modules, from Advanced Machine Learning to Financial Analytics. It is therefore essential that you feel confident working within this challenging context.
The role also requires experience in quality assurance to ensure all external and internal requirements are met before our programmes launch. To do this you need to be a good writer, editor and proofreader, with a keen eye for detail.
Our team has a strong technical base, which includes in-house media and web development, so you will need to be comfortable having technical conversations and understanding how different technologies can be incorporated into the learning experience. We strive to be innovative and excellent at what we do so you will need to be thoroughly acquainted with current trends in online learning design and how these trends can be implemented. Most importantly, you will share our interest for online learning and our belief that technology can enhance education.
- you will have a strong knowledge of both learning design and product development
- you will possess up to date information on current trends in online learning design
- you will have excellent written skills and a good eye for detail
- you will be an excellent communicator with an ability to explain complex details
