Job description

Job summary

Imperial College London is seeking a part-time permanent Stock Management Assistant, based in the Central library at South Kensington campus.

Duties and responsibilities

Responsibilities will include sorting trolleys for shelving, clearing desks and returning items to the shelves. The role also focuses on supporting stock management duties and related projects. The post holder will often be the first point of contact for library users so exceptional levels of customer service will be expected.

Essential requirements

You must be punctual and reliable. You will have literacy and numeracy skills to GCSE or equivalent level and must be able to demonstrate care and attention to detail. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Further information

You will work term time 20 hours a week, vacation time 10 hours a week. The busiest times will be during the college term times. Working hours will be between 8.30 and 17.30 Monday to Friday and will be agreed in advance by the Library User Services Coordinator (Stock Management).
