Job description

The Brand & Marketing department at King’s College London is seeking a highly numerate and technically able individual who wants to work with data in a marketing environment and is seeking to develop a career in data related Marketing.

The position sits within the Data, Insights & Reporting Team, who is responsible for centralised data management, operational campaign set-up, measurement and insights for the department. The role will provide support to both the Data Intelligence and Data Management elements of the team and the successful candidate will manipulate, collate, process or transform a range of data sets in a variety of applications on a daily basis to support the departments campaign set-up and reporting needs.

With either a relevant degree, or some relevant work experience we are looking for a collaborative individual who thrives on working in a busy team across a range of tasks. With an excellent eye for detail, you will also be able to undertake quality checks and reviews to ensure the operational set-up of campaigns is accurate across a range of platforms.

The post holder must have excellent excel skills, be able to manipulate data sets, undertake checks and collate different types of information for analysis. Knowledge or experience of using Microsoft Dynamics, Google Analytics, Power BI platforms is desirable, as is Click Up or Trello, but not essential.

This post will be offered on an indefinite contract

Key responsibilities

The post-holder will undertake the following activities in their role:

• Campaign Set-up:

o Review of set-up across Dynamics, Google Analytics and other systems to ensure all data appears as it should.

o Checking relevant KPIs and data is being generated and loaded into platforms such as Google Analytics and PowerBI.

o Ensuring correct classification of our campaign hierarchy has been applied, running bulk or individual updates within MS Dynamics or other systems as need.

• Scheduled reviews of data within MS Dynamics and the Marketing data model.

Reporting including:

• Collation and transformation of large data sets for analysis reporting including:

o Monthly report collation

o Survey results collation

o Standardisation of data sets

o Publishing and refreshing dashboards from external suppliers

Workstream management including:

• Be aware of schedule of activity and ensure all team member are aware of deadlines for actions.

• Update of project management tools such as Click-up or Trello

UAT including

• Supporting the team with data related UAT as required.

Other relevant data related activities are required

Skills, knowledge, and experience

Essential criteria

1. Bachelor’s degree, minimum of 2:1, or equivalent

2. Excellent excel skills

3. Ability to collate, manipulate and transform data sets

4. Ability to work independently with autonomy but also collaboratively as part of a team.

5. Highly organised with excellent written and numerical skills

6. Excellent attention to detail

7. Experience of collating, manipulating or transforming data sets for either degree or in previous role.

8. Experience of working to project deadlines

9. Ability to work across a range of tasks and manage changing deadlines and priorities as required.

10. Highly organised with high attention to detail

Desirable criteria

1. Degree that is relevant to the position

2. Familiarity with CRM system such as Dynamics

3. Familiarity with Google Analytics

4. Familiarity with Power BI

5. Knowledge of data protection laws and compliance best practice (such as GDPR and PECR)
