Applications are invited to join our friendly and pro-active Reward team, part of the People Services Directorate.

The role is part-time – working 60% FTE (22.2 hours per week). We’re flexible regarding working pattern and this is something we’re happy to discuss. The role is suited to a mixture of campus and remote work and typically involves working at least 50-60% of the week on campus and the remainder remotely.

The Reward Analyst will provide a wide range of reward related data and insights to support a clear and transparent approach to how the University deals with all aspects of our colleagues pay and benefits. They will source, manipulate and analyse relevant data in order to ensure the maintenance and development of reward and recognition processes for University colleagues.

The Role

The Reward Analyst will provide a wide range of reward related data and insights to support a clear and transparent approach to how the University deals with all aspects of our colleagues pay and benefits. They will source, manipulate and analyse relevant data in order to ensure the maintenance and development of reward and recognition processes for University colleagues.

Key Accountabilities

• Provide support and assist with a range of reward initiatives, including annual pay review benchmarking, modelling and analysis
• Creation of pay scale models, scenarios and costings

• Offer support and assist with the implementation of annual pay review and promotions processes.

• Collaborate closely with key stakeholders, including People Services Business Partners, the Payroll team, the Finance team, and maintaining strong and supportive relationships in all departments in order to offer and receive assistance where necessary.

• Generate and analyse annual pay gap and equal pay data and support the development of annual reporting requirements.

• Support the job evaluation process, ensuring that the process is compliant with the requirements of the reward governance framework.

• Offer support with a multitude of reward activities, including annual pay reviews, national pay awards and implementation of the changes as a result of the Real Living Wage.

• Undertake data analysis for salary benchmarking.

• Supporting the Head of People Solutions and Reward Partner with the development and implementation of any new reward systems or processes that may be put into place.
• Contribute to the development of a wide range of reward reports by creating charts, tables and graphs to allow the presentation of data in an effective format

The Person (Essential)

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Practical experience in an data analyst role
• A high standard of written and oral communications
• Ability to solve problems based upon past experience and independent investigative analysis
• Excellent communication skills; the ability to seek out new information and communicate effectively with colleagues
• Capable of independent analysis, judgement and research into all aspects of their area of responsibility
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships and actively collaborate with other staff
• Data manipulation skills with experience of producing and maintaining management reports sourced from the SAP system
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience of maintaining and monitoring quality assurance standards or similar
• Experience in documenting relevant processes and creating clear files and confidential storage of data and analysis
