Advanced Quantitative Postdoctoral Research Officer

The Department of Social Policy and Intervention is seeking an outstanding individual for a new role of Advanced Quantitative Postdoctoral Research Officer. This role will work with Professor Lucie Cluver and a team of academics that is co-led with the University of Cape Town, to conduct advanced statistical analysis of a range of research studies across Africa, with the common goal of identifying cost-effective services that substantially improve the lives of Africa’s adolescents and children.

You will work primarily with data collected from multiple studies amongst adolescents living in Sub-Saharan Africa. Key research topics will include: violence prevention, sexual and reproductive health, adolescent motherhood, HIV prevention and care, and parenting. The research will be integrated within the UKRI GCRF Accelerating Achievement for Africa’s Adolescents Hub, which is led by Professor Lucie Cluver as Principal Investigator. We work collaboratively with national governments in sub-Saharan Africa to plan research and turn it into policy impact.

The post is fixed term for 12 months, with the possibility of extension to 2 years.
