Grade 6: Salary in range £29,176 – £34,804 per annum

We are seeking an enthusiastic Clinical Research Nurse to become part of the Jenner Vaccine Trials – NDM (JVT-NDM) multidisciplinary team within the Jenner Institute. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the world-leading vaccine development institute.

As a Clinical Research Nurse, you will be responsible for supporting the day to day clinical and administrative aspects of multiple phase I/IIa clinical studies across a diverse range of disease themes within the field of vaccinology. This will involve assisting in the selection and screening of healthy volunteers, administration of vaccines, monitoring for adverse events whilst maintaining accurate and comprehensive records. You will maintain accurate records of all reviews, document findings and inform the lead clinician and senior staff where appropriate in a timely manner of any concerns. You will act as named nurse on studies as designated by the Senior CRN in ensuring study timelines and requirements are met and assisting in the running of other studies. Additionally, you will also provide training, support and supervision to colleagues and junior staff where appropriate.

It is essential that you are a NMC Registered Adult Nurse with post registration experience in a relevant area of practice. You will have demonstrable experience of venepuncture skills and practice, and have had continuing professional development throughout your career. It will also be desirable if you have experience in clinical research but not essential as training will be provided. You will also have excellent communication skills and have strong computer literacy in MS Office packages.
