Investigative Medicine, Radcliffe Department of Medicine (RDM),Acute Vascular Imaging Centre (AVIC), John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford OX3 9DU

Grade 3: £20,092 – £22,847 per annum (pro rata for part time)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated clinical support worker (CSW) to join the newly formed clinical team within AVIC at the University of Oxford.

The internationally unique centre will include a hybrid unit combining a state-of-the-art ultra-high-resolution computed tomography (CT) scanner integrated with a cardiac catheterisation lab / interventional lab. The CSW, whilst being an employee of the University of Oxford, will also be involved in the provision of a highly patient-orientated, clinical service for the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. We require someone, who will enjoy working in a friendly, cutting edge environment, to assist the radiographers, nurses, and research staff in the smooth running of the department. Due to the expansion of both the clinical and research service, a flexible approach to weekend and evening work will be required.

You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy. It is essential to have a good understanding of confidentiality and strong interpersonal skills. The post holder will be able to identify and respond to patients’ needs. A cannulation certification and knowledge of a radiology department are desirable.

The post is full-time (part-time minimum 18.75 hours will be considered) and fixed-term for up to 1 year in the first instance.

Applications for this vacancy are to be made online. You will be required to upload a supporting statement and CV as part of your online application.

Only applications received before 12:00 midday on 20 January 2021 will be considered.
