The Development Office is seeking an aspiring communications professional to support the work of the UODO communications team in assisting colleagues to secure funding and in conveying the impact and power of philanthropy at Oxford.
The Communications Assistant role is a new position that will provide vital administrative and practical support to the communications team. The team is responsible for a variety of work streams including the creation of content for the Development Office website, an annual report on the impact of philanthropy, social media, internal communications, and the creation of bespoke proposals for major prospective donors.
The post-holder will have strong interpersonal and writing skills with excellent attention to detail. They will be organised and keen to learn new skills and embrace new technology. A familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter and YouTube) is required, along with an interest in the role that higher education plays in effecting positive change. The role is a varied and busy one and will require the post-holder to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
