Fixed term, 24 months, 0.6 FTE.

The post holder will be responsible, with the Course Director and the Senior MPhil Course Co-ordinator, for the day-to-day delivery and running of the MPhil in Development Studies, a two-year taught Masters’ course. In particular, this will involve providing administrative support for students in their second year of the MPhil including disseminating course information, timetabling and room bookings; managing examinations, assessments and assignments; and servicing relevant committees.

The post holder will be responsible for managing the day-to-day running as well as administrative processes underpinning the organisation and delivery of the MPhil programme as it relates to students in their second year of the course.

The post is part of a team of departmental graduate course coordinators headed by the Graduate Courses Manager. It is based at ODID and reports to the Senior MPhil Co-ordinator in ODID with operational responsibility to the Course Director for teaching and for the Chair of Examiners for the examinations of the course. This is a responsible and demanding position within the Department’s Student Administration team. The post holder will be expected to work with minimum supervision and prioritise competing demands effectively. They will need to work collaboratively with colleagues, the Division and the University.
