Data Manager

Department of Social Policy & Intervention, 32 Wellington Square, Oxford, OX1 2ER

Grade 6: £29,176 – £34,804 p.a.

The Department of Social Policy and Intervention is seeking a Data Manager to work with a dynamic and fast-paced research group led by Dr Jamie Lachman. This is an excellent opportunity to work on large complex cohort studies as part of the COVID-19 Playful Parenting Emergency Response initiative, and to be part of an international multidisciplinary research team with wide policy and programming impact. The post holder would be fully involved in managing complex data and information systems, implementing high-standard data security practices in close collaboration with senior academic and operational colleagues at Oxford and partner institutions. This role will focus on the management of multiple databases, creating and transforming datasets, and coordinating user access. It will involve maintaining data collection systems, creation of data collection tools (Open Data Kit), and managing ethical and data security compliance. The role may also require the development of data management plans for study protocols and grant applications. The role will be based in Oxford, though the post holder will collaborate with a large network of researchers to ensure the data is in the format required for statistical analysis.

Our research team is committed to improving outcomes for vulnerable children and families in low- and middle-income countries, and this is our primary guiding aim. We are committed to capacity-building and supporting team members to further their careers, and you will be supported to advance your career portfolio.

The Department is committed to fostering an environment of equality, diversity and inclusion.

Further information, including how to apply, is available in the attached job description. Any further enquires may be directed to the email address below.

Only online applications received by 12.00 noon on 01 March 2021 will be considered. Interviews will be held on 16 March 2021.
