About the role
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Oxford Future of Real Estate Initiative (FoRE) at Saïd Business School as Executive Director of the Initiative on part time basis (0.5FTE).
As the Executive Director you will set the strategic direction for FoRE, developing a vision for real estate research, cultivating and managing key relationships with multiple stakeholders, mobilising existing and new resources to support the FoRE group’s activities, and supporting the group’s team in executing the strategy. This work includes all aspects of strategy development, resourcing, operational oversight, reporting, media and external relations, and governance.
You will be advancing the initiative’s role as the leading hub for aggregating and disseminating knowledge relating to the practice of real estate and representing the initiative internationally and within the Oxford and School communities to ensure effective communication, collaboration and positioning at both internal and external levels. Diversifying the funding base of the initiative through fundraising and external sponsorship opportunities and keep key stakeholders (FoRE partners, faculty and University partners) appropriately engaged, informed, and aligned. You will be helping to attract leading faculty and researchers to FoRE both from within the University of Oxford and other leading institutions and engaging international practitioners, stakeholders and scholars regarding important issues in Real Estate.
You will work closely with the management and faculty of the Saïd Business School to achieve these aims.
You will hold a PhD in a related discipline, have senior management experience with a proven track record of cultivating and leading successful teams and planning, leading, and executing strategy in real estate with high level of strategic insight and accountability. Experience of fundraising or grant-related success to create a sustainable business model and strong educational leadership experience, and the ability to lead the initiative. Experience in people management and building teams. You will have excellent communication, interpersonal and networking skills, and evidence of working effectively in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment teaching faculty and senior administrative staff.
