Grade 7: £33,309 – £40,927 p.a. (with a discretionary range to £44,706 p.a)

If no suitable applicant is forthcoming at Grade 7, an appointment on the Grade 6 scale [with appropriate adjustment of duties] may be considered. Grade 6: £29,614 – £35,326 per annum (with a discretionary range to £38,587 p.a.)

The Nuffield Department of Population Health (NDPH) contains world-renowned population health research groups and provides an excellent environment for multi-disciplinary research and teaching.

The NPEU is an internationally recognised, multi-disciplinary research unit based within the NDPH at the University of Oxford, Old Road Campus in Headington, Oxford. The unit undertakes research about pregnancy, childbirth and new-born babies.

We are looking for a Full-Stack Developer to work on all stages of the software development lifecycle of the NPEU Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) Trials Administration Database Application (TADA). You will be involved in assessing requirements, developing the specification to meet the requirements, implementing testing and maintaining the application. You will join a small programming and development team and be expected to think proactively and exercise initiative.

To be considered for this role you will have a degree in a computing discipline, or a recognised equivalent computing qualification or equivalent experience, experience of web-based application development and secure data management and the ability to develop and complete projects, working both independently and as a member of a team. You will also have advanced proficiency in developing software on the Microsoft .NET platform, preferably using C# and ASP.NET MVC frameworks and Microsoft SQL Server.

The position is full-time (although part-time considered) and fixed-term for 2 years.
