Grade 5: £26,341 – £31,406 per annum

We are seeking a Grants & Projects Officer to join the Department of Engineering Science. You will be a member of the Grants & Projects team which is part of the Finance team within the Department. This team supports the post-award financial management of the department’s research grants and trading contracts, looking after of around 700 active projects across 100 academics, generating income in excess of £35 million per year.

You will have primary responsibility for a selected portfolio of research grants, supporting the relevant Principal Investigators and Project Managers to ensure that funds are securely managed, and that funder terms and conditions are met.

You should be educated to GCSE level or equivalent and should have previous experience of administration in a research environment, public sector environment or other large complex organization. Proven financial aptitude with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to produce clear and concise financial reports is essential.
