Kellogg College is looking for Head Waiter who is passionate about providing excellent customer service. You will join our small, friendly catering team that provides various food and beverage services in College’s dining hall, bar, hub café, and events (on and off site).
You will have demonstrable experience preferably gained in the food & beverage/hospitality sector, preferably in a supervisory role. Your experience may have been gained from a commercial fine dining restaurant/hotel food service and ideally with banqueting, conferencing, and events.
You will have good people skills as well as spoken and written English to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues. You will be able to organise others and have an approachable and outgoing personality. Whilst this is a supervisory role, you will be expected to be ‘hands-on’ at all times of service.
This permanent role is required to work for all catering related and supported activities and events, both at Kellogg and outside of it. You will have experience of dealing with customer feedback, operating tills, alcohol service and knowledge of food safety and allergen awareness.
The average working hours for the are variable but may be between 36.5-40 hours per week, annualised. Shifts will vary to cover the hours of business and include weekend (including bank holidays), and evening work.
