Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, Eagle House, Walton Well Road, Oxford OX2 6ED.
Grade 8: £42,149 – £50,296 per annum
Applications are invited for an experienced medical statistician to work within the Clinical Informatics and Health Outcomes Research group led by Prof. Simon de Lusignan who is also the director of the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) Research and Surveillance Centre (RSC). The team is based at the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences.
The successful applicant will contribute to the development of study designs as well as do the analysis and presenting research outputs. In addition the post holder will also support existing projects. Responsibilities will include providing statistical and analytical expertise, contribute to protocol and statistical analysis plan development, develop analytical tools independently as well as in collaboration with other team members and provide input in the management of study databases by checking and validating data.
You will hold a post-graduate degree in medical statistics or a related subject, have experience in statistical programming languages such as R, Stata, SAS and preferably have prior experience in working with healthcare/medical data.
You will be based in the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, Eagle House, Walton Well Road, Oxford OX2 6ED.
The position is for 2 years in the first instance.
