Job Details

Outreach Programme Manager, Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative (OPHI)

Department of International Development, 3 Mansfield Road, OX1 3TB

Grade 7: £33,309-£40,927

Fixed-term (one year in the first instance), to start as soon as possible.

The Outreach Programme Manager will be responsible for coordinating all outreach project activities within OPHI. The post will suit a highly experienced and flexible professional with considerable experience of the management of complex development programmes, and of donor relations – someone who enjoys creating the work environment that enables a small, fast-paced and close-knit team to work to their peak abilities, working closely and collaboratively with the Director and other administrative staff.

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, relish a challenge, enjoy working in a fast-paced and high-impact research and policy centre, and be keen to collaborate with the rest of the OPHI outreach and administrative team. In turn, OPHI can offer a supportive, collegial, meaningful and international work environment as a part of the Oxford Department of International Development (ODID) and the University of Oxford. The post will involve liaison as appropriate with the ODID Finance and HR offices, and other staff in ODID and the wider University.

The post is full-time, for one year in the first instance with expectations to extend (funding permitting), and the post holder will report to and coordinate closely with the Director.

The University of Oxford and the Department of International Development are Athena Swan Bronze award holders in recognition of its efforts to introduce organizational and cultural practices that promote gender and race equality and create a better working environment for all.
