Personal Assistant to Head of Department and Head of Administration

Grade 5: £25,482 – £30,395 per annum (with discretionary range to £33,199)
We have an exciting opportunity for an excellent senior PA at one of the largest and most highly ranked centres for academic primary care globally. This role provides top level administrative and secretarial support to two senior managers in the Department: the Head of Department and Head of Administration & Finance, as well as to the Head’s research team and clinical trials. The post holder will be the point of contact for internal and external visitors for these two senior managers, and will provide ad hoc administrative support as required to other Principal Investigators. You will work closely with, and report to, Professor McManus’ EA in the management of the Head of Department’s and the Head of Administration and Finance’s diaries and meeting arrangements.
About you: You must have previous senior level PA and administrative experience, including organisation of meetings and excellent diary management, with the ability to manage and prioritise a varied and busy workload and work to deadlines. A proactive, flexible, and resilient approach to work, strong written and verbal communications skills, and the ability to deal effectively with a wide range of people are also essential. You will be someone who relishes challenges, particularly as no two days will be the same in this demanding and fast-paced role.
The Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences leads world-class research and training to rethink the way healthcare is delivered in general practice and other primary care settings, both across the UK and globally. Our research is led by internationally renowned scientists, many of whom are practising GPs.
You will be based in Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, Radcliffe Observatory Quarter, Woodstock Road, Oxford, OX2 6GG, but you may be able to agree a pattern of regular remote working with your line manager.
This is a permanent full-time position (part-time 80% over 5 days a week would also be considered).
