You will take a leading role in a team with other postdoctoral research assistants, students, technical staff and fellows, on the roles of immune cell function in cardiovascular disease pathogenesis. Specifically, you will be responsible for leading a major part of the work supported by the Greaves-Channon labs’ British Heart Foundation Programme Grant. You will have expertise as a post-doc scientist in working with targeted/conditional/inducible genetic mouse models, and studies in isolated immune cells including functional studies, FACS, molecular and biochemical. Experience in the field of cardiovascular inflammation and metabolism would be desirable, but applicants bringing experience from other related fields are also encouraged.

This is a full time appointment on a fixed term contract for 1 year with the expectation that the contract will be extended following the renewal of the 5 year BHF programme grant. You will be based at the Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics, Old Road Campus, Roosevelt Drive, Oxford.
