Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Continuum Battery Modelling

We are seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Continuum Battery Modelling to join Professor Monroe’s team in the Energy and Power Group (EPG) of the Department of Engineering Science (Begbroke Science Park). The position is funded until 31 March 2023.
We aim to produce simulations that are relevant tocharacterisation, performance diagnostics, and technoeconomic analysis of electrolytes for all-solid-state lithium batteries.The work is part of the multimillion-pound EPSRC Faraday Institution SOLBAT programme, led by Professor P Bruce (Oxford Materials), which brings together dozens of researchers from institutions across the UK.
The candidate should have or be near obtaining a PhD in engineering, physics, mathematics, or an allied discipline. Their publications should demonstrate competency and experience with electrochemical simulations. You will be responsible for developing theories on paper and implementing them in software, and will participate in SOLBAT programme activities, meetings, and both internal and external conferences.
