Applicants must hold a PhD in homogeneous catalysis or polymer synthesis, (or be close to completion) prior to taking up the appointment. You will have expertise in handling reagents and materials using anaerobic methods, such as schlenk lines or nitrogen filled glove boxes.
You will be expected to manage your own academic research, administrative activities and data effectively. This requires the ability to work independently, to manage timescales and to deliver work cooperatively with the broader team. You will develop new or adapt existing scientific techniques and experimental protocols.
The post will be based in the Department of Chemistry, Chemistry Research Laboratory, 12 Mansfield Road, OX1 3TA and is available from 1 April 2021.
You will be required to upload a supporting statement and CV as part of your online application.
The closing date for applications is 12.00 midday, Monday, 15 March 2021. Interviews will be held as soon as possible thereafter.
The University of Oxford is a Bronze Athena SWAN holder and the Department of Chemistry is a Silver award holder. Applications are particularly welcome from women and black and ethnic minority candidates, who are under-represented in Chemistry research posts in Oxford.
