Grade 7: £ 33,309 – £ 40,927 with a discretionary range to £ 44,706 per annum

We are seeking to appoint a self-motivated postdoctoral researcher with expertise in cancer epigenetics, and strong interests and self-motivation for research to join the group of Dr. Parinaz Mehdipour at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research, which is focused on cancer epigenetics and epitranscriptomics.

You will be responsible for designing and performing original research, and managing multiple projects with competing deadlines. You will write grant applications, research protocols and manuscripts. You will also train undergraduate, graduate students and trainees, as well as articipate in additional collaborative projects led by the Principal Investigator.

It is essential that you hold a PhD or MD/PhD degree in Molecular biology or a relevant field, along with technical and research expertise in performing epigenetic assays. You will have expertise in molecular biology techniques (CRISPR/Cas gene editing, cloning, qPCR, Western blot) and mammalian cell culture. Excellent written and oral communication skills is also required for this role.
