The Department of Chemistry is seeking a Procurement Officer, reporting to the Deputy Head of Finance within the Chemistry Finance Team. You will be responsible for a full range of duties to support the Transaction & Financial Analysis team. This is a key role within the Finance team to ensure that all procurement is accurate, timely and efficient.
Experience of working in a high volume transaction processing environment and knowledge of accounting principles is essential. Good levels of financial and computer literacy are required.
You will have good communication skills with the ability to develop good working relationships with key contacts and other members of the Chemistry Administration team. You will enjoy working as a team player in a busy finance team.
Understanding of Oracle Financials is desirable along with solid spreadsheet skills.
This is a permanent, full time appointment and is available immediately.
