Grade 5: £26,341-£31,406 p.a., pro rata

The Department of Social Policy & Intervention is looking to appoint an experienced part-time Programme Assistant to work on our flagship Global Parenting Initiative (GPI). The GPI is a multi-million-pound five-year project with a vision that is bold, ambitious, and immediate: to provide access to free, evidence-based, playful parenting support to every parent, everywhere, so that they are equipped with the knowledge and tools to help their children realise their learning potential. You will provide support to the GPI Programme Manager, including coordination of the GPI steering committee and advisory board, stakeholder engagement and implementation of the research uptake strategy.

Funds supporting this project are provided by the LEGO Foundation.

You will have excellent organisational and time management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines. You will have demonstrable computer skills and the ability to work independently, with minimum supervision, and a willingness to resolve situations, as well as knowing when to refer issues to others. A keen interest and experience in improving outcomes for vulnerable children, adolescents, and youth in low- and middle-income countries is also desirable.

The GPI Programme Assistant holds a core supportive position within the management team and provides an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic, international team, dedicated to improving the lives of children across the globe.

The Department iscommitted to fostering an environment of equality, diversity and inclusion. Our family-friendly ethos allows for hours to be worked flexibly to complement caring responsibilities. Applications are particularly welcome from ethnic minority candidates.
