We have an opportunity for a Project Manager to join the newly established multidisciplinary Oxford-GSK Institute for Molecular & Computational Medicine (the Institute) operating from Nuffield Department of Medicine, University of Oxford.

As a project manager, you will ensure the smooth running of all aspects of the Institute including scientific and financial management of the activities, in line with the contractual terms and conditions. In collaboration with researchers from Oxford University and GSK you will assist in developing project plans for the joint projects, including identifying risks and implementing strategies to mitigate them. You will also lead in the management of all aspects of the Institute’s finances, including keeping records of resources assigned to projects.

It is essential that you are educated to degree level with an excellent track record of managing and delivering successfully scientific research projects, with the ability to demonstrate leadership of large and complex projects, for example, with multiple stakeholders, budgets exceeding £5m, long time-frames, and regulatory complexity. You will have knowledge of preclinical project management and associated legal requirements. It is essential that you are highly organised, have strong interpersonal skills, and be willing to actively contribute towards developing and improving innovative ways of working and managing projects and research programmes.
