Project Manager – ‘Telling Our Story Better’
English Faculty, St Cross Building, Manor Road, Oxford OX1 3UL
Grade 6: £29,176 p.a. (pro rata)
The ‘Telling Our Story Better’ project sets out to change the lived and felt environment of the English Faculty through photography, storytelling and community building. Funded by an award secured by Sophie Ratcliffe and Ushashi Dasgupta from the University’s Equality and Diversity Fund, the concept was developed by the English Faculty’s Athena SWAN Self-Assessment Team.
Working closely with the Project Directors, Dr Sophie Ratcliffe and Dr Ushashi Dasgupta, the postholder will have day-to-day responsibility for co-ordinating and monitoring the progress of the project’s activities, including overseeing the work of a team of interviewers, and will work closely with academic and administrative staff within the English Faculty.
Applicants should possess excellent organisational and interpersonal skills and have some experience of project delivery.
Since this is a part time post, it is recognised that there will be a need to prioritise different areas at different times, and the precise allocation of duties and hours will be decided in consultation with the Project Director.
The role is presented as 6 hours per week (0.16FTE) which can be flexible in terms of hours across the week. It is anticipated that the appointee will take up their post on 1 April 2021 or as soon as possible thereafter.
