Project Research Pharmacist

Grade 7: £33,309 to £40,927 with a discretionary range to £44,706 per annum

We are seeking a highly motivated Project Research Pharmacist to join the Medicine Quality Research Group to coordinate the pharmacy aspects of the project with the co-applicants and their teams in other specialties and with collaborators around the world.

You will be responsible for providing pharmacy input to the data scientists, forensic biologists and chemists, sociologists, modellers and physicians working on the project. You will assist with the coordination of the pharmacy aspects of the work of the Medicine Quality Research Group and liaison with collaborators. You will also take responsibility for curation and analysis of data in the ‘Globe’ and ‘Surveyor’ and related systems, and work with the project Software engineer and data scientist to ensure that the databases and data flows are informed by up to date pharmacy practice.

It is essential that you hold a degree in Pharmacy, together with some post-qualification experience in public health, pharmaceutical supply chains/regulation/policy or related fields. You will have experience with database management, data cleaning and data analysis, and have experience and understanding of pharmacy in Sub-Saharan Africa/Asia. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with people at all levels of seniority in the University and with collaborators overseas, as well as be able to work unsupervised (after appropriate training) taking responsibility for own projects or as part of a team taking instruction from others. It is essential that you have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
