We are seeking a Reception and Administration Assistant to provide front of house services and administrative support. You will be based in the new Institute of Developmental and Regenerative Medicine (IDRM), a state of the art 6000 m2 multidisciplinary medical research facility designed to house up to 250 scientists and support staff. Scientists from different departments will be split across three different research themes, one per floor for Cardiology, Neurology and Immunology. The building will provide laboratory and write-up space for each research theme as well as having shared facilities, meeting and seminar rooms, and a variety of collaboration spaces.

As IDRM’s Reception and Administration Assistant you will play an essential role in delivering a wide range of crucial support services to building occupiers and visitors. This will include responding to telephone and email queries, provide a focal point for general enquiries. Further, you will provide support to the building as a whole by providing access, booking visitor parking, maintaining lists, raising faults and monitoring safety systems. As well as general administrative support by processing orders, communicating with suppliers, coding and posting invoices and running open order reports which relate to the IDMR building services team. The post plays a crucial role in organising key meetings and running the electronic DSE database for the building occupiers.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter, have previous experience of customer support to an extremely high level. You will be organised, able to use various electronic systems, an excellent communicator, highly motivated, flexible and able to develop the role to meet the requirements of the Institute. This is a broad ranging support role and full training will be provided.

This post is fixed-term for 3 years in the first instance.
