An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Accommodation team as a Receptionist. You will greet all members and visitors of the College dealing with any queries that arise. You will be responsible for varied reception duties including, greeting members of the College and visitors.

You will be a first point of contact for the College, providing valuable support to Fellows, Employees and Students. In this role, you will carry out varied duties including dealing with queries, sorting and distributing post, and issuing University Cards to members.

You will have experience of working in a busy environment with excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the tact and interest to deal successfully with a diverse range of people. You will also have proven organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively, in order to respond flexibly to the demands of the job. The ability to have the confidence to plan tasks and complete them with minimum supervision and to work effectively in a team is essential.

You will have good levels of IT literacy (MS Outlook, Word and Excel) and be numerate, with a good command of spoken and written English.

This is a permanent Variable Hours post, flexible availability is required to cover staff absence as well as when needed during the week. Although the hours may vary, you will be expected to be available between 11am and 3pm weekdays to ensure cover during the busy periods. Hours may change according to the needs of the College. Early starts, evening shifts and occasional weekend work may be required. You will be based at Kellogg College as your normal place of work. The successful candidate will be expected to work onsite in Oxford, in line with current COVID-19 safe working practices.
