Grade 6: Salary in the range £29,614 – £32,344 per annum

Applications are invited for a highly motivated Research Assistant to join a new research group led by Professor Ronjon Chakraverty

Working closely with Professor Chakraverty and his team, you will focus on developing biological assays that measure the phenotype (for example, through high-parameter cytomics, RNA sequencing, anatgen receptor sequencing) and functions of immune cells within cell products or following their transfer to patients. A key aim will be to devise and perform quantitative assays used as biological endpoints in clinical trials.

You will hold a degree in biological sciences with a period of relevant practical working experience within a laboratory. Sufficient specialist knowledge in immunology to work within the established research programme of the laboratory and experience in core techniques for the laboratory (immunological assays, molecular biology, cell culture, flow cytometry) are essential. Strong organisational and writing skills, good record keeping and excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with other scientists and administrative staff are also essential.

The post is available fixed-term until 31/12/24, funded by the JP Moulton Foundation.

Applications for this vacancy are to be made online. You will be required to upload a CV and supporting statement as part of your online application.
