Research Culture Facilitator

Department of Biochemistry, South Parks Road Oxford & Department of Psychiatry, Headington, Oxford

Grade 7: £33,309 – £40,927 per annum pro rata

We are seeking to appoint a Research Culture Facilitator to work across two departments (Biochemistry and Psychiatry) in order to take a leading role in creating a framework for reducing incidents of Bullying and Harassment, publicising procedures and contact information should such incidents arise and providing effective and meaningful support for those impacted by such incidents. You will also play a role in work across people and culture, with a particular focus on race-equality and setting up facilitated ‘tea-break’ and safe space discussions and training programmes.

Applicants should have high personal integrity and will be required to take a high level of personal responsibility for both their own work and that of the staff under their control. You will have the knowledge, intellectual capacity, reasoning and analytical skills of a graduate or equivalent and have strong interpersonal and influencing skills. Strong communications skills across a range of channels is expected as is having good organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritise effectively. You will have a good knowledge of IT and be able to work effectively within a team environment.

This part time (30 hours per week) fixed term post is funded by the ISSF for up to 12 months in the first instance and is based at the Department of Biochemistry, South Parks Road, Oxford and the Warneford Hospital, Headington, Oxford.

This position is graded on the University’s Grade 7 scale. The actual starting salary offered will be based on qualifications and relevant skills acquired and will also be determined by the funding available.
