Grade 8: £42,149 – £50,296 with a discretionary range to £54,943 p.a.

The Jenner Institute is seeking to appoint a highly motivated Senior Biostatistician, primarily for the Malaria Vaccine Programme, but also to provide other support to programmes as required.

Your main responsibility will be providing statistical support for a number of malaria vaccine trials led by Professor Adrian Hill, including a phase III multi-centre trial.You will be required to provide support in research design, methodological development, and the analysis and reporting of clinical trial data. You will support a team of researchers to optimise statistical approaches and take a leading role in analyses.

It is essential that you hold a PhD or DPhil in statistics in a closely related discipline, and have practical biostatistics and/or clinical trials analytics experience with good knowledge of all aspects of clinical research methodologies. You will have excellent understanding of statistical methods and have proven experience in using statistical packages, and working with large datasets. It is essential that you have excellent communications skills, both written and oral, and have the ability to manage multiple project workloads within given deadlines.
