Senior Clinical Trials Administrator

Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences, John Radcliffe, Oxford

Grade 6: £29,176 – £34,804 per annum

We are looking for a Senior Clinical Trials Administrator to work within the Department of Clinical Neurosciences. The successful candidate will support the Unit’s lead, Dr. Matthew Craner, and Prof Jackie Palace with management of administration responsibilities across a number of currently active research studies in the department of Clinical Neurosciences and covering PA acitivities, organising meetings, conferences, diaries and invoicing.

The post-holder will be responsible for the effective and efficient day to day administration of the research studies to enable the academic research staff to fulfil their responsibilities. The post-holder will have a variety of skills and experience applicable to clinical trials management. They will be required to supervise and teach one Grade 4 post at the current time, and this is predicted to expand to more grade 4-5 posts in the future. The successful applicant will also be required to carry out varied office duties, specific study related tasks and act as a pivotal point of contact for the clinical trial teams.

It is essential that the applicant is educated to A-level or equivalent. It is also essential that they have demonstrable project management, financial planning and reporting experience. Furthermore, it is essential that they have experience of working with confidential information. Previous experience with commercial and in house neurology trials administration is desirable.

The post is part time (0.8FTE) for a 1-year fixed term contract in the first instance.
