Full time, permanent.

The post holder will be responsible, with the Course Director, for the day-to-day delivery and running of the MPhil in Development Studies, a two-year taught Masters’ course. In particular, this will involve providing administrative support for students in first year of the MPhil including disseminating course information, timetabling and room bookings; managing examinations, assessments and assignments; and servicing relevant committees and line managing the part-time Course Coordinator responsible for the second year MPhil students.

The Senior Course Coordinator will also be responsible for the implementation, facilitation and coordination of best teaching practices for the entire department under the direction of the Director of Graduate Studies.

The post holder is to work with minimum supervision and prioritize competing demands effectively. They will need to work collaboratively with colleagues, the Division and the University.

This post is part of a team of departmental graduate course coordinators and reports to the Graduate Courses Manager in ODID with operational responsibility to the Course Director for teaching and for the Chair of Examiners for the examinations of the course.
