The Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences undertakes internationally acclaimed research that improves the primary care that your GP practice delivers. The Clinical Trials Unit is involved in the design, conduct and analysis of investigator led multi-centred randomised trials that are carried out in collaboration with local NHS Trusts in both primary, secondary and tertiary care.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Clinical Trials Manager to lead a portfolio of studies, taking responsibility for the design, set-up and implementation of clinical trials and to contribute to the CTU’s strategic development.

Under the CTU Operational Director, the Senior Trial Manager will support the Unit in building its portfolio of trials and academic input will be encouraged. You will use your expertise in clinical trials to provide leadership and guidance to more junior trial managers and to lead a study team taking full responsibility for a varied portfolio of trials.

To be considered for the Senior Clinical Trials Manager role you will hold a PhD in medical sciences or medical statistics, or have equivalent experience.

You will be expected to have substantial experience working at a high level in clinical trial management with exceptional leadership, organisational and time management skills.

The position is a fixed-term 1 year maternity cover. The post is available part-time up to 80%fte.
