The post is full time, although part time working can be considered.

This role may be considered for fully remote working to the right candidate.

Dependant on demands of the role you may be eligible for compensatory payments in addition to your basic salary.

Applications are invited for a Trial Manager, this role is part of the Clinical Trials Unit. The role will oversee a portfolio of trials taking the lead on at least one trial.

Integrated within a busy, multidisciplinary UKCRC registered clinical trials unit, the successful applicant will work closely with the unit’s Director of Operations and as part of the trial management team. Responsibilities will include all key tasks within the lifecycle of the trial, line management for a number of trial coordinators and developing awareness raising publicity materials for the trial, targeted to the academic community.

You will hold a degree in a medical science or have equivalent experience, have experience of working in clinical trial management and data management, be highly IT literate with an interest in software development and a willingness to learn new programming methods and frameworks.

We have multiple roles available within the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences and the Nuffield Department of Medicine you will likely have a choice of which unit you would like to join. You will be based in either the Gibson Building, Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, Radcliffe Primary Care Building, Woodstock Road, Oxford, OX2 6GG, or at the Oxford Respiratory Trials Unit, Churchill Hospital, OX3 7LE, but you may be able to agree a pattern of regular remote working with your line manager.

The positions are funded for 2 years in the first instance.
