Grade 6: Salary in range £29,176 – £34,804 per annum

We are seeking a highly motivated Unreal Engine Programmer to join the Tropical Medicine and Global Health Institute.

You will be a member of a research group with responsibility for the provision of programming support for the LIFE project. This new position will support the development of the LIFE app using Unreal Engine, iOS developer tools, Android developer tools, Firebase, 3D graphics and other relevant programming environment. You will be essential in Contributing to the design of the LIFE project and make arrangements for data gathering.

It is essential that you hold an undergraduate degree in mathematics or computer science, together with some relevant experience and are working towards a masters or doctorate in a specialist discipline such as mathematical modelling. A good ability to manage own software development and administrative activities is essential, as this role requires you to be responsible for the day-to-day administration of your programming contribution to the LIFE project. Close working within a collaborative team will also require excellent communication skills, including the ability to write text that can be published, present data at conferences, and represent the research group at meetings.
