We are seeking a full-time web developer to continue to design and develop the front end for a number of world-leading and impactful resources, which are used and endorsed by researchers, publishers, funders and other stakeholders in the research ecosystem. These resources, which include the FAIRsharing resource (https://fairsharing.org), the FAIR Cookbook (https://fairplus.github.io/the-fair-cookbook) and the ISA Toolkit (https://isa-tools.org), address the grand challenges related to information science and scholarly communications, where data interoperability, transparency and readiness for (re)use are prerequisites for success. Flexible working applications will also be considered.

This 2 year position is renewable subject to funds, and it is based in the in an international group of research software and knowledge engineers, led by Professor Susanna-Assunta Sansone (https://datareadiness.eng.ox.ac.uk), at the Oxford e-Research Centre, within the University of Oxford’s Department of Engineering Science. The successful candidate will contribute to the Data Readiness Group’s multi-partners projects to ensure that the research digital assets are Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable (FAIR) by humans as well as by machines. Therefore, an interest in research data management and open science would be beneficial.

The successful candidate will have some demonstrable experience with web application frameworks or web development/design. In particular, Vue.js, Vuetify, Ruby (inc. Rails) and Python are used in our projects, but experience in similar technologies and a desire to learn would also be considered.
