As part of our regional role as an anchor institution, Staffordshire University has secured funding from European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) to lead and deliver the Staffordshire Connected & Intelligent Mobility Innovation Accelerator (SCIMIA).  The 3 year programme, which has been running for 12 months, will support eligible Stoke on Trent and Staffordshire Local Enterprise Partnership (SSLEP) Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) with research and development for the intelligent mobility market.  The objective of the project is to stimulate investment in R&D and to deliver innovation-led growth, building on the regional manufacturing, logistics, transport and digital business base through collaborations with Staffordshire University.  The university will use its expertise in areas such as Artificial Intelligence & Internet of Things, Big Data, cloud computing, manufacturing, engineering, electronics, creative design and expertise in the Business School and aims to provide bespoke innovation support to 45 businesses to access new markets addressing UK Industrial Strategy and Local Industrial Strategy Grand Challenges.

We are looking for a Programme Manager with significant experience of managing projects to deliver the Staffordshire Connected & Intelligent Mobility Innovation Accelerator (SCIMIA). The role holder will lead, co-ordinate and manage project activities, ensure compliance and meeting of the outputs profile and KPIs. The Programme Manager will work closely and align with Employer Partnerships team to promote the SCIMIA programme to businesses, ensure eligibility and be responsible for a Project and Portfolio Officer who will support the operational elements of the project.

This role is part-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
