Duties and Responsibilities
Computing and Electronics Systems Group servicing both Chemical and Biochemical Engineering Depts. The Administrative IT Assistant is a key member of the Systems team. The role provides comprehensive support to our staff, students and visitors across a range of functions. These include, but are not limited to, being first point of contact for the Systems team, dealing with enquiries and key activities in purchasing and software license administration.
Qualifications commensurate with education to A Level or equivalent experience of working in a similar role. Relevant experience in IT Equipment and Software purchase Experience with IT support and resolving issues. Ability to work largely without supervision and use own initiative to solve problems and organise and manage time to perform a wide variety of tasks. Willingness to learn new software packages and maintain currency with the evolution of available software packages.
