Duties and Responsibilities

The Departmental Administrator will work alongside the Departmental Manager to provide professional services (PS) support to one of the five GOS ICH Research and Teaching Departments. The Departmental team are responsible for the day to day running of the Department, including HR, Finance, research and education support, and space planning.

This is a maternity cover for a period of 12 months.

Key Requirements

The successful candidate will be educated to A Level or equivalent. Knowledge of research funding processes and regulations within a HE/research environment would be an advantage. They will have excellent organisational and communication skills, be able to prioritise work under pressure and to work to tight deadlines and under minimal supervision. They will have experience of working in a busy office environment, be willing to help and be able to work well as part of a team. The role requires interaction with a wide range of staff both within and external to UCL thus a professional attitude and the ability to liaise effectively with people at all levels are essential. Working knowledge of MyFinance and Axiom is desirable.
