Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and maintain digital communications channels, including the Institute website and social media platforms, including drafting and editing content and reports. Work with the Faculty communications team to publicise the Institute and its events. Liaise, network and build productive working relationships with other communications professionals across UCL. Organise and contribute to UCL Anthropocene events, seminars, workshops, and lectures. Liaise with relevant external organisations and media, support the research work of the staff and students associated with the Initiative. Support student and staff activity in the Faculty in relation to sustainability and climate change. Be responsible for the day-to-day management of administration of the Initiative, monitor expenditure for the project against the awarded budget.

This post is currently funded until 31 July 2021 with the possibility of an extension.

Key Requirements

Experience of facilitating workshops/meetings, experience of producing and editing effective content for websites and printed materials for academic and public audiences (eg newsletters, press releases, reports, brochures and proposals). The ability to work without direct supervision and to manage own workload effectively and to have an attitude of responsibility. Excellent communication (written and oral) skills (including accurate grammar, spelling and punctuation), with ability to write and present to a variety of different audiences.
