Duties and Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be working within a multi-disciplinary team based at UCL and will support a number of exciting high quality research projects and clinical trials funded by the National Institute for Health Research, the Sir Jules Thorn Charitable Trust and the Rosetrees Trust.
The primary objective of this post will be to support the Obesity Research Team in the running of several clinical trials by assisting with the efficient collection, processing, validation and quality assurance of the study data for several Clinical Trials. In particular, the post holder will help develop and maintain the database securely for all clinical trials.
The post holder will also be responsible for producing regular updates and will be required to attend meetings in order to discuss trial progress. Working closely with the trial management team, the post holder will be responsible for entering data, data cleaning and quality control, as well as preparing data for statistical analyses and central monitoring.
This post is funded till 31st December 2022 in the first instance.
The successful candidate will have excellent IT skills; ability to learn specific software and apply this knowledge to solve technical problems; time management skills in order to work on several different projects at the same time; flexibility in order to work with and provide support for a number of people; excellent oral communication skills in order to work effectively with colleagues from all parts of the organisation; experience in training and writing technical reports; teamwork skills and patience; attention to detail; excellent record-keeping skills, excellent organisational skills; strong interpersonal skills; knowledge of current regulatory requirements governing GCP, experience in word processing and database management, and data entry.
