Duties and Responsibilities
The Bartlett is UCLs global Faculty of the Built Environment. It is made up of 13 Schools, Centres and Institutes, providing teaching and research across a breadth of disciplines to over 4,000 students each year from across the world.
Individually, our schools and sections lead their fields. In partnership, they develop new responses to pressing world issues. As a whole, they represent a world-leading, multidisciplinary Faculty, united by the radical spirit of UCL. Our vision is of a world where everything thats built aims to add to the well-being of people and the environment.
The Bartlett is looking to appoint an Events Officer to join its Communications and Marketing team in the Faculty office. The Events Officer will work closely with colleagues across the faculty and main university CAM office to coordinate a vibrant schedule of events, both for the public and for internal staff and student audiences. They will also provide support and guidance on event best practice to professional and academic staff throughout the faculty with local events when required.
The successful candidate will have experience of coordinating successful online, in-person and/or hybrid events in a similar role, or relevant event-based experience that can be applied in a UK Higher Education institution or complex organisation. They will be creative in planning events, have experience in creating communications copy and using social media to promote events, and be confident at working with stakeholders across all levels. They will have excellent communication, organisational and time-management skills.
