Duties and Responsibilities

The Fitness Centre Manager will take full responsibility for leading and operating Bloomsbury Fitness- our on-campus gym-, providing our members with an excellent service and experience every day. The Fitness Centre Manager will also support the Sport and Physical Activity Manager to expand our fitness provision, identifying opportunities for growth across campus, particularly at UCL East, our new campus on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

Key Requirements

The requirements of the role include responsibility for the operational management of all SU fitness facilities, including facility scheduling, staffing, cleaning/maintenance and general operations and to ensure that the centre is appropriately staffed at all operational times including the development of an on-call rota system. The successful candidate will need to train, support and motivate people, managing their performance and delivering a high performing culture of development and progression. The role holder will also need to be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of people, including students, team members and colleagues.
