Duties and Responsibilities

We are investing strongly in our drug discovery activities and have a lecturer position available. We are seeking outstanding individuals who will complement our existing strengths in the discovery of novel agents via the building of major new collaborative research projects that will develop new leads in strategically important therapeutic areas via the use of NMR spectroscopy.

The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to research, teaching and the high-level management of the Schools NMR facility, including seeking new possibilities for collaborative research and investment in the relevant infrastructure.

Key Requirements

We are seeking individuals with a strong research track record in the use of NMR spectroscopy to understand interactions between small molecules and biomolecules. Experience of drug discovery projects and experience of teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level is strongly desired. We would expect the successful applicants to be able to demonstrate a suitable track record in relevant teaching and an ability to perform administrative duties to a high level of competence and reliability.
