Duties and Responsibilities

The Bartlett School of Architecture is a world-leading place to study, teach and research architecture. We are recruiting for multiple Lecturer (Teaching) roles in Design for a January start date for the 2021/22 academic year ranging from 0.07 FTE to 0.4FTE. The posts are for the areas outlined below with flexibility required to move across other programmes listed in the future as needed:

Post holder(s) will be required to teach their appointed subject to students on prescribed modules at specific times of year. The central purpose of all roles is to maintain an innovative and distinct academic agenda within the global context of architectural development, the specific profile of the programme and the local context of the school.

Key Requirements

We are looking for teaching professionals with a higher degree in architecture or architecture related discipline along with excellent knowledge of architectural education strategies. In addition, successful post holder(s) will be able to demonstrate an established track record of high-level teaching leading students to a recognised high standard of work, including international awards, e.g. RIBA presidents medals, etc.

As well as possessing the ability to engage with liberating the curriculum initiative, demonstrating impact, applicants will demonstrate Sustained engagement with the implications of research-based education leading to changes in practice
