Duties and Responsibilities

The UCL School of Slavonic & East European Studies (SSEES the School) is seeking to recruit one Lecturer (Teaching) in Economics at Grade 8, to start from 1 September 2022. This position is part of SSEESs current programme of academic investments and will contribute to advancing the Schools unique interdisciplinary mission.

The post holder will be required to: (1) deliver high-quality teaching in Economics/Business at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels; (2) design assessments and provide feedbacks; (3) supervise and assess dissertations; (4) provide academic and pastoral support; (5) undertake curriculum planning and course design to ensure excellent education standards; (6) undertake relevant scholarship and pedagogic development activities; (7) undertake relevant and appropriate education-related leadership and enabling roles.

This role is full time and open ended.

Key Requirements

The post holder will be required to have: a PhD in Economics or a related discipline; comprehensive knowledge of economics pedagogy; experience of teaching Economics at University level; experience of leading the planning, development and delivery of teaching, assessment, and feedback; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; experience of using virtual learning environments.
